Selby

Place explored through a personal selection of the lives, novels, art, architecture, poetry and history inspired by England's industrial era.

The abbey is fantastic. In a different way, so is the derelict BOCM building, a short walk from the abbey, down by the River Ouse. The BOCM in the sunshine reminds me of the american artist, Charles Sheeler’s ‘Ballardvale 1946’

Emma Saint and Bennett Czinner are local cops, a creation of local author Colin Eston’s mysteries, set in and around Selby.
